Buspresso is Redefining Denver’s Mobile Coffee Scene One Pull at a Time

Denver Food Truck Photography by Back Deck Studios

Downtown Denver just got a little more caffeinated with its newest food truck—Buspresso, a fully custom espresso bar built inside a renovated school bus. Since launching in early May 2025, Buspresso has quickly carved out its place on the corner of 16th Street and Wazee, just outside the pulse of Denver’s daily rush. Whether you’re commuting, visiting Union Station, or grabbing lunch downtown, you’ll likely spot a curious line forming outside a short tan school bus serving handcrafted espresso drinks.

That bus? That’s Buspresso!

River Low and his dad completely gutted and revamped this short bus to best fit River’s dream of being Denver’s newest food truck & business owner. Buspresso isn’t just a business. It’s a story—one that mixes creativity, caffeine, and community in a way that makes it more than just another stop for your morning cup. The craftsmanship, both in the bus build and in the drinks coming out of it, speaks for itself. From the detailed wood interior to the high-end espresso equipment mounted inside, this isn’t a novelty concept—it’s a serious coffee operation on four wheels.

A Coffee Truck with Soul

Most mobile coffee trucks are designed to be functional. Buspresso is designed to be unforgettable. There’s no corporate branding, no templated menu, and no sterile service. River brings the kind of care you’d expect from your favorite neighborhood café—except it’s parked in the middle of downtown Denver.

This isn’t your average coffee truck—it’s an experience. River doesn’t just serve your drink; he remembers you. Your name, your go-to order, maybe even where you work if you’ve mentioned it before. That kind of attention to detail isn’t common in food truck culture, but it’s baked into the DNA of Buspresso.

The drinks themselves? Legit. River spent the last few years working behind the counter of other cafés across Denver, honing his technique and refining what he believes a great cup of coffee should feel like. He’s not trying to mimic what’s already out there. He’s trying to do it better, from the inside out.

Built From Scratch with Purpose

There’s something raw and inspiring about a business that’s literally been built by hand. River and his dad took on the ambitious task of gutting and rebuilding the bus themselves. Every bolt, every shelf, every espresso line was planned, designed, and installed without cutting corners.

Inside, you’ll find professional-grade espresso equipment more commonly found in high-end cafés. That alone makes Buspresso stand out—this isn’t a mobile unit with a basic Mr. Coffee or a Keurig K Cup machine running off a generator. This is a full-service coffee bar that happens to have wheels.

Beyond the coffee setup, River stocks locally sourced pastries and curates a menu that evolves with the seasons. Right now, he’s developing a brand new seasonal drink menu set to launch in early July, which will include both new flavors and creative twists on café staples – There’s even talk of creating bus themed coffee drinks like the “Exhaust.”

Why We Partnered with Buspresso

At Back Deck Studios, we photograph food and beverage brands that put intention behind what they serve—and Buspresso fit that brief exactly. For the past couple weeks, Brandon’s been walking past this coffee bus while walking from the parking garage to his office – After forgetting to make his coffee at home, Brandon finally stopped to see what the local hype has been all about. A 5-minute conversation and a London Fog with Lavender quickly turned into offering River a Trade For Print (TFP) photoshoot – part to support a new business, part to create more summer content.

The shoot took place on-location in downtown Denver. In just half an hour, we were able to capture the vibrant textures of the bus, River’s energy behind the bar, and the quiet confidence in every espresso pull. For us, it’s about more than just pretty photos—it’s about telling the full story of what a brand stands for.

From commercial-grade gear to the trust River creates with his regulars, Buspresso photographs like a brick-and-mortar café—but with more personality. And that’s exactly what we wanted to highlight. No artificial staging. No fake drinks. Just real coffee in real hands, being served in a real community.

More Than a Truck: Event-Ready and Bookable

While Buspresso might live downtown during the weekday grind, it’s mobility lends itself as a vendor that can be booked for events throughout Denver and surrounding cities. Whether you’re hosting a wedding, a corporate offsite, or a private celebration, Buspresso is available as a mobile barista or even a bartender – given that you provide the booze.

Having a coffee truck at your event isn’t just a perk anymore—it’s expected. But most people haven’t experienced one quite like this. It’s the attention to detail, the visual impact of the bus itself, and the consistency of the drinks that take it from “a nice touch” to a true event highlight.

You can learn more or inquire about booking by messaging @buspresso on Instagram or visiting their website.
