We've been photographing since 2017 and joyfully married since 2021!
Brandon is our main photographer, on the ground at photo shoots with a camera in hand. All of our photos are done by him. Ashlyn is the brains behind the scenes; working with clients before & after shoots, editing, and assisting Brandon on-location. She is the true brains behind the operation.

Back Deck Studios was born in 2019, sparked by late-night shoots and early dreams while we pursued our degrees in commercial photography. Much of Brandon’s early portfolio came to life on Ashlyn’s parents’ backyard deck
— a place where our passion for photography (and for each other) took root.

We're all about breaking the mold of what commercial photoshoots should look like — through honest pricing, transparent practices, and open communication that invites true collaboration. We thrive on creating fun, vibrant imagery that celebrates not just the dishes, but the people behind them.
